We installed the Essence Pro theme from StudioPress, because we’re curious about it being AMP-enabled. Will this give the website a boost in the eyes of Google since AMP pages are favored?
It’s still in transition mode, though, which means the non-AMP and AMP pages co-exist. I’m not going fully AMP, though, because of conflicts with some security plugins.
If you’re curious about AMP pages, just add /?amp at the end of the URL or webpage address and you’ll see the AMP version.
AMP pages are supposed to load faster, particularly on mobile devices. Since my posts will be mostly text, I wonder if you’ll notice the difference in loading speed.
Will this boost our ranking in the search engines? We’ll take whatever SEO points we can get.
