Calm – Mono No Aware 2020

Mono No Aware is the Japanese term for awareness of impermanence or transience.

“Like a sandcastle, all is temporary. Build it, tend it, enjoy it. And when the time comes, let it go.”

— Jack Kornfield

Winter helps us enjoy summer.

It is our desire to cling to things or situations that make us suffer, when the environment has naturally changed.

Knowing that things will change, let us fully appreciate what we have now, and embrace the inevitable change when it happens.

I appreciate my barber, and I’ve learned to cut my own hair in the age of Community Quarantines like ECQ or MECQ.
